About Open Graph Protocol

Open Graph is a protocol created by Facebook that enables any web page to become a rich object in a social graph. When properly implemented, your links will display with images, titles, and descriptions on social media. By adding OG meta tags to your page's <head>, you define the title, description, image, and other metadata that platforms use to render link previews.

  • og:title — The title of your content
  • og:type — The type of object (website, article, etc.)
  • og:image — URL to the preview image

  • og:site_name — Name of the website
  • og:locale — Language and region
  • og:image:alt — Alt text for the image

  • Minimum size: 200 x 200 pixels
  • Aspect ratio: 1.91:1 for best results

  • Format: JPG or PNG, under 5MB recommended
Platform Support
  • Facebook — Full OG support
  • LinkedIn — Uses OG tags for previews
  • Twitter — Falls back to OG when Twitter Cards missing
